Commonly Asked Questions
Q: Do I need a lot of space for the online class?
A: No! We understand that you may be using a bedroom, the garage, or your kitchen to dance with us so the material we will work on does not require a lot of space.
Q: How much space do I need?
A: We recommend using the biggest space you have available. If you live in a high rise condo building, you may have a gym with a yoga room. Otherwise, we suggest moving the coffee table or a few chairs to give yourself ample space. Just make sure you have a good internet connection.
Q: What time zone do you teach in?
A: We teach in Eastern Standard time.
Q: What if my internet connection is bad?
A: If your internet connection is unusable at the time of the lesson and you're unable to quickly fix it, please contact us via telephone immediately. We will either reschedule the lesson or create a video recording of what we intended to teach depending on our availability.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: We do not offer refunds for online lessons. If you would like to cancel or reschedule a lesson, we require at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged for the scheduled time slot. If you're running late to the call, or the internet connection prevents us from starting on time, we will still need to end on time.
Q: Do I need a certain App?
A: We use Zoom as our preferred streaming platform. Zoom works great on IOS and Android devices and is free to download and easy to start up.
Q: What materials do I need for online lessons?
A: Ideally you will have a cellphone and a computer (laptop) with a webcam and Zoom - this way we can easily see different angles. If two devices are unavailable, no worries! One device is enough as long as it can be propped up easily so that you can keep the video stable
